Course Description

Welcome to this modular ESG course, designed to equip future managers of rural SMEs—particularly in the agri-food sector—with the knowledge and skills to implement sustainable practices in their local context. Learners may choose to complete one or all six modules, each structured into micro-learning units that combine theory with real-world case studies, allowing you to apply concepts in practice.

To reinforce learning, each module includes an interactive “Mission Game”, enabling participants to test their understanding and apply ESG principles in practical scenarios. Upon completing all six modules, learners are eligible for a certificate of completion.

This curriculum focuses on the practical application of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles within an SME, fostering sustainable development, enhancing SME competitiveness, and aligning with European standards and policies. Participants will develop the capacity to design ESG strategies, analyse sustainability data, and engage stakeholders effectively in rural business contexts.
